Last Saturday the under 11’s played the first day of the grand final against St Pats White, at Learmonth Ground in Bathurst.
St Pats batted first, at the end of their 20 overs they were 8/83, with the wickets being shared between the team.
At the end of Blayney's 20 overs they were 5/112.
At first the team seemed to be in trouble being 3/10 after the third over, but a stunning partnership between Erryn Paine and Cooper Grenfell put the team back in the game.
Erryn is not out on 31 and is partnered with Ella Tilburg on 15.
In the under 14’s things are somewhat different.
After the first day of play Stannies were 1/121 with Aden Prosper being the wicket taker.
In reply though the Blayney side is 1/181 with Lhiam Burrell retiring on 101, Abbie Uhr was out for 34 and they had an opening partnership of 157.
Club Secretary Julie Prosper said that the club was extremely happy with the players performance this season.
“They’re both in a really good position to win this weekend,” she said.
The two matches will continue this Saturday in Bathurst.
