Probus members enjoyed the warmth of the Blayney Sports Club for their June meeting.
As guest speaker, member Joe Brown enthralled fellow members with further insights into his very interesting life and activities.
On Sunday, June 26 18 members and friends braved the weather and uncertain challenge of a mystery trip and enjoyed a wandering excursion by coach to Manildra for lunch and movie at the old time Amusu picture theatre.
“The Lady in the Van” was a very entertaining movie with, among other things, a message that quite often we only find out about the lives of people we thought we know only after their death.
How often is this true.
As a group of like-minded people – retirees living in the Blayney region – our Probus Club provides a conduit for fellowship and sharing which enriches our lives as well as the lives of those who share our fellowship.
The key is that you have to want to share.
The light is on but you have to open the blinds of your mind and heart to let the light in to your life and to share your life with others.
Probus Club will next meet for fellowship at 10am on Thursday, July 21 at the Blayney Sports Club.
Following morning tea, members will adjourn to the Blayney railway station to catch the XPT train to Stuart Town for lunch.
New members are always welcome.
