Great food was prepared by Patti from Millthorpe Providores, complimented by wines selected by Aida from the Angullong Stables Cellar.
A gourmet tasting plate of cheeses and garnishes accompanied by champagne style white wine, lamb with special salads and chutneys served with Barbera or Shiraz reds and a delicious and very chocolaty dessert with an equally delicious dessert wine was the menu which was voted a great crowd pleaser.
At the February meeting, the Club officers for 2015 were inducted.
The team remains almost unchanged from last year and Blayney and District VIEW Club members look forward to another happy year of friendship and service led by President Fiona and Secretary Ros.
At this meeting we were fortunate to welcome as guest speaker Rebecca Ryan, the recently appointed general manager of Blayney Shire Council.
All were impressed by her positive attitude and faith in the future of the Blayney Shire as a stand alone council area.
Rebecca shared her impressions of Blayney as a warm and welcoming community, her family life as mother of two sons and previous work experiences.
Her passion for local government and personal mantra of "there is no such thing as can't" arguers well for a successful tenure in her new position.
