regional championship based around the the Carcoar Cup, Dubbo Stampede, Mudgee Marathon
and the Orange Colour City Running Festival.
It is a real tribute to the success of the Carcoar Cup to be included with events based in these major regional centres.
In 2014, the Carcoar Cup attracted runners from 165 different towns and cities throughout Australia, including Townsville, Cairns, Sydney, Canberra, Alice Springs and Melbourne.
Class victories were recorded by Australian International Harry Summers who defeated local Wes Gibson in the Half Marathon, and Forbes runner Jessica Pascoe who put up a great performance to win the Women's Division of the 6km Dash, coming second overall.
These wonderful runs all paled against the performance of the great Yass runner Angela Bateup who remains undefeated at Carcoar, winning her fourth straight Carcoar Cup marathon.
The astonishing development of the Carcoar Cup was no better illustrated than in the Carcoar Cup for Kids, which attracted 170 runners after 38 in 2013.
