Last Friday afternoon I dropped in at King George Oval and was amazed to see so many children enjoying themselves at Little Athletics.
The running tracks and fields looked brilliant and many parents commented on the excellent work of the council staff to prepare and maintain the oval for athletics and cricket straight after a long football season.

Congratulations to the staff and board at the Lee Hostel for a wonderful Spring Ball where everyone dressed up and enjoyed lunch and entertainment throughout the afternoon.
My wife Michelle and myself officiated at the Ball which was great fun and reminded me again how fortunate we are as a community to have this caring Hostel supporting our older residents.

Our new general manager, Rebecca Ryan commences work next week and she is very excited to start in her new role and is looking forward to getting to know our Blayney Shire community.
Over the next few weeks Councillors will be helping Rebecca to get to know our residents and organisations so when you see her around please take the opportunity to introduce yourself and welcome her to our Shire.
