Organised by the Mandurama Progress Association, the event raised around $2,500 for Greg Hayes, a local man who is currently in Sydney undergoing treatment after a horse accident.
President of the Progress Association Narelle Riley said the ball went exceptionally well and even attracted guests from as far as Sydney.
“They were just so surprised that a small town could put on something so huge and successful,” she said.
“We wouldn’t have been able to do it without all the local support we received and the terrific work of businesses and residents who came forward with raffle and auction items and other donations.”
