Rev Anastasia, her husband Donald, and four of their eight children will arrive next week to take up residence in the Anglican Rectory in Adelaide Street, after relocating from Dubbo where Rev Anastasia has served as assistance priest for the past three years.
Prior to her ordination Rev Anastasia graduated from the University of Sydney with a degree of Master of Arts before commencing her theological studies through St Mark’s National Theology from Charles Sturt University.
Rev Anastasia has a great commitment to pastoral ministry and she is presently serving as an honorary chaplain to the NSW Ambulance.
The Anglican Parish of Blayney extends from Lucknow to Trunkey Creek, and includes Millthorpe, Carcoar, Mandurama and Barry as well as the principal parish church in Blayney.
Representatives and parishioners from all centres will welcome Rev Anastasia and her family at a special Commissioning Service to be held at Christ Church Blayney at 7.30pm on Thursday January 27.
The service will be followed by refreshments in the parish hall.
