Great crowds were on hand to watch three fantastic games.
The results were as follows:
JUNIOR
Scissor Sisters def Awesome Rubber Duckies (26-21)
This was a highly competitive game which saw the struggle continue throughout the match.
Emmerson Toshack was a solid performer through the centre court for Scissor Sisters, as was Karlee Funnell at WD who pulled off numerous strong intercepts.
Ellie Hamer and Calle Nicholls joined forces in defence to limit ARD's shooting opportunities.
Zali Pettit and Carissa Lane were the defensive team for ARD forcing Scissor Sisters to take some long range shots.
Holly Hopkins and Taylor Hadlow were consistent with their shots, while Kate Redmond and Sophie Stammers held their own for Scissor Sisters.
It was a great game to watch with Sophie Stammers being awarded player of the final.
OPEN B
Darters def Diamonds (44-19)
Diamonds being the younger of these two sides were always going to be the underdogs.
The height of Darters posed great difficulty for the younger Diamonds team.
Darters were strong throughout the court with Laura Reeks playing numerous positions.
The three McIntyre sisters combined well with some accurate shooting by Christina Narducci.
Courtney Simmons played an excellent centre court for Diamonds with some great circle work by Brittany Howarth and Grace Mooney.
Laura Funnell and Hannah Stammers were strong in defence but lacked a little height.
Laura Funnell was awarded player of the final.
OPEN A
Bella Amore def Pulse (60-52)
Pulse were undefeated leading into this year’s grand final.
In a fast paced game Bella Amore took an early lead and by the second quarter they had a foot-hold on the game.
Some great defence by Gabby Zideluns and Ashleigh Carroll saw Bella Amore feeding Danita Lane in the circle for some quick goals.
Laura Reid and Zilla Kinghorne worked tirelessly for Pulse, while Kristine and Georgie Hobby kept the score ticking over.
The sister combination of Abbie and Kate Toohey was hard for Pulse to combat, with Kate Toohey's pace at GA exhausting.
A game that saw school girls take on mature players and win.
Kate Toohey was awarded player of the final.
