The chicken run held on Friday February 5 saw Dean Simmons win the ROBANCO voucher with net 16 and the chicken winner was Darren Jones with net 20.
On Saturday February 6 members and guests played an 18 hole 2 person ambrose event for the Murray Patrick Family Shield.
More than 70 golfers took to the course and completed all 18 hole this year with the team of Mick Miskell and Dominic Langham running out convincing winners with a score of net 51 and 3/4, the runners up were Zac Stammers and Clint Moxon with net 56 and 3/4.
This Saturday members will play an 18 hole stroke event for the February monthly medal and the Greg Griffiths trophy, the following Saturday members will play an 18 hole stableford event for the Fred Rowland trophy. Good Golfing.
LYNDHURST GOLF CLUB NEWS
The weekend was a busy one at the club with something for everyone.
A close finish in the golfing event on Sunday saw Brant Marrion emerge as the winner.
Next Sunday Feb 14 is the start of competition golf, with the Captain’s Trophy the first to be contested.
Play will commence from 12 noon onwards.
Well done to the team who put Meal Deal together on Friday evening, top job.
Our first Market Night for the year was held on Saturday with plenty of goodies on offer, thanks to the tireless group who ensure the evening is enjoyed by everyone. Your efforts are appreciated.
Irene Muggleton took home the half time draw.
The weekly member’s draw was not won leaving the opportunity open for some lucky member again this Saturday.
Coming off a bye and hoping for a win, the Cowboys will travel to Wyangala this week. Good luck boys.
Many happy returns to Sophie McFawn who celebrated over the weekend.
You should not need an excuse, however show someone you care on Valentine’s Day.
A reminder about Cowboys and Indians Night on Friday Feb 12, with dancing to Laurie’s Disco come dressed for the occasion. Anyone remember F Troop?

BLAYNEY LADIES’ GOLF
This was the first round of the winter competition for 2010.
Winner with a wonderful +7 was Colleen Davis. She gets to visit the handicapper again.
Runner up was Wendy Crisp +2 on nearest pin 2nd Wendy Crisp, 6th Colleen Davis.

Colleen also had a gabble 7 on the par 5 3rd hole.
As passed at our first meeting for the year everyone will be entered in the pointscore and eclectic competition for 2010 at no charge.
VETERANS’ GOLF
The rain came, and the course came alive with beautiful green fairways.
What a difference it makes, plus the cooler weather.
The Body family carried all before them with Geoff the winner in the day on a score of 43pts.
Wife Rosemary claimed nearest the pin for the ladies.
Both have shown tremendous improvement since playing with the veterans.
If you are in the veterans age bracket it might be an idea to play on Monday with us and improve your game.
Runner up was the evergreen Jim Tolhurst and Bob Costello nearest the pin for the men.
Bob is still playing great golf while playing off a low handicap.
Next game is Monday 15 see you at the clubhouse by 8.45am.
SUNNY RIDGE GOLF NEWS
Last weekend a good field of golfers played a Chook Run.
Winner of the 9 Hole comp was Tony Rodd of Orange with 30 ½ Net.
Winner of the 12 Hole Comp was Darren Cole with 40 2/3 Net, two weeks in a row. Well Done.
Next week will be a 12 hole Chook Run. Play Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Golf Carts available.
The course is looking great with the recent rain. Many thanks to Darren Cole and the Bunt family for their continuous working bees every Tuesday.
Also thanks to Dennis for the mowing.
There will be a farewell to Tom and Maureen Foster on Sunday March 7 at 2.30pm. Everyone welcome. Ladies please bring a plate.
We will all miss you and wish you the best in your retirement.
