The chicken run held on Friday November 5 saw Sam Nixon win the Robanco voucher with net 19, the chicken winners were Steve Holloway with net 23 and Darren Jones with net 29.
On Saturday November 6 members played an 18 hole stroke event for the Don Eves trophy and the November monthly medal.
The winner and mastering the windy conditions with some precision golf was Tony Gannon with 73 off the stick for a net 64, such was Tony's control in the wind that he made birdies on the 11th and 12th holes to shoot 1 under par 33 on the back nine.
The A grade runner up was Jason Davis with net 67 and the B grade runner up was Rod Corbett with net 77.
The ball competition winners were Peter O'Neill net 67, Garry Keen net 67 and Danny Stammers net 71, the nearest the pin winner with his 2nd shot to the par 4 4th hole was Fred Rowlands 532cms.
The final of the 2010 Salter cup was also played on Saturday with Peter O'Neill playing Mick Tyrrell, the final was a very even contest after nine hole with the match score at all square.
Over the back nine it was Peter O'Neill who was playing the better golf which resulted in Peter O'Neill defeating Mick Tyrrell 3 & 1.
This the 3rd Salter cup victory for Peter having won the Salter cup in 1969 and 1989.
This Saturday members will play an 18 hole stableford event for the Mick Miskell trophy. Good Golfing.
LYNDHURST GOLF CLUB NEWS
The back to Lyndhurst/Garland weekend was a huge success, enabling the whole local community to benefit.
Hats off to the organisers and workers.
It was lovely to see so many visitors to the club enjoying the facilities on offer, including the return of meal deal on Friday evening.
True to form the cooks excelled themselves, take a bow girls.
Market night was well attended on Saturday and once again the catering was delicious.
A big thank you to the small band of helpers who pull together to see things get done.
The weekly members draw was not won.
Sunday November 14 is Closing Day with a Three Person Ambrose Event scheduled.

With the return of warmer weather the club is once again open on Friday evenings from 6.00pm.

There will be no December market night due to the staging of a Variety Magic Show with Grayco the Illusionist from 7.00pm on Saturday December 4; note your diaries.
The club has entered two teams in the local pool competition which commenced this week.
We wish them every success and hope you can come along on Monday nights to support and cheer them along.

BLAYNEY LADIES’ GOLF
In beautiful weather we drew a crowd for the Captains’ Trophy which was played in the form of an 18 hole stableford.
Winner on a count back was Audrey Davis with 40 points, from Beryl Tolhurst 40 points.
Next was Colleen Davis with 39 points on a count back from Sue Bevear 39 points.
Nearest the pin on 2nd went to Beryl Tolhurst with our newest golfer Darling Waaka taking the prize on the 9th hole.
