The chicken run held on Friday February 19 saw John Cunynghame win the ROBANCO voucher with net 19, the chicken winners were Judd Walker net 21 and Sam Nixon net 21.
On Saturday February 20 members played an 18 hole stroke event for the February monthly medal and the Fred Rowland trophy.
With the course in great condition after the rain Tony Burrell turned back the clock to his championship winning days and produced a round off 69 off the stick for a net 62.
Tony's round was comprised of 33 stokes on the front nine which included 8 pars and a birdie on the 5th hole and on the back nine 36 strokes which included 6 pars and a birdie on the 12th hole.
The A grade runner up was Bill Davis with net 65 and the B grade runner up was Luke Patrick net 66 on a count back from Adam Davis who was the ball competition winner with net 66.
The nearest the pin winners on the 4th hole 2nd shots were A grade Bob Costello and B grade Ted Dell.
The nearest the pin winners on the 8th hole 2nd shots were A grade Jason Davis 124 cms and B grade Luke Patrick 476 cms.
This Saturday members will play an 18 hole stableford event for the Blayney Mower Centre trophy and later in the evening members and guests will congratulate the 2009 trophy winners at the presentation night. Good Golfing.
LYNDHURST GOLF CLUB NEWS
Members once again spent a pleasant weekend at the club catching up with friends and visitors.
Golfers on Sunday played for the Captain’s Trophy, won by Laurence Hoad.
Thank you Bill for your continued support.
Next Sunday February 28, golfers will tee off for a special Club Trophy.
Dates for golfers to keep in mind for March, including, the 14th for Sunny Ridge opening day.
Lyndhurst Opening Day sponsored by Emms Mooney of Blayney will be held on March 21.
Members were pleased to catch up with Annette and Chester who were on hand for the weekly members draw on Saturday, alas still no winner.
The Cowboys showed Carcoar they meant business on Saturday with an easy win.
A great confidence booster for the boys at the business end of the season.
Many happy returns to Tammy Hewitt who celebrated a milestone birthday over the weekend.
Also turning another page was yours truly.

BLAYNEY LADIES GOLF
Ladies played a stableford for the first Club Medal of the year.
The winner was Beryl Tolhurst with 34 points.
Runner up was Glenda Goodacre with 32 points.

Beryl had a gobble on four on the par four 11th hole.

SUNNY RIDGE GOLF CLUB
Last weekend we played a Chook Run. The winner was Darren Cole.
Next week will be a 12 hole chook run, play on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Golf Carts are available.
A group of our golfers played in the Legacy Day at Bathurst on Sunday. They all played well and had a great day.
Brown Fox Cafe open this Friday from 7pm to 9pm.
Angullong Wines now available at the club.
Birthday wishes go to Christine Boothman.
Our Opening Day will be held on March 14. It will be a 2 person Ambrose. Tee Off at 12.30pm.
VETERAN’S GOLF
Welcome to visitor Nick Hadland and welcome back to members Barry and Pat Sutton.
Beautiful day again and a picture perfect golf course.
Rosemary Body got the cash again with a score of 39 pts although husband Geoff was seen to pocket the prize.
Brian Turner, at last, managed to be on the dais with 38pts.
The ladies were not sighted for nearest the pin, while club stalwart Jim Tolhurst claimed the men’s prize when finishing two meters from the hole.
Next game Monday March 1 when we except a few visitors from Cowra will be with us. Have a good week everyone.
