Playing against Bushrangers at Learmonth, Nick Bird batted through the innings hitting a six off the last ball to reach 153 not out.
He hit 13 sixes and 4 fours in his innings smashing all bowlers that were used.
He has threatened all year to hit a really big score, congratulations Nick it was well deserved.
Danial Wallace also hit 69 runs until being bowled by the old full toss -a ball which claimed three of our batsmen.
At the end of our 35 overs we had reached 4 for 284, our highest score for the year.
Bushrangers were never going to get the target score, especially after Casey Wallace claimed two wickets in his first over.
All eleven players got to bowl three overs. After their 35 overs they could only manage 9 for 135, another resounding victory.
This week we take on United at Dakers Oval with the side being exactly the same.
20/20 REPORT
In a must win game against City Colts at Police Paddock 1, the Blayney side achieved a comfortable victory. With Colts batting first we kept them to a score of 123.
All bowlers did well especially after the rain set in, just trying to grip the ball was very hard.
Then Nick Bird continued on where he left off on Saturday. He scored 78 runs, the game was pretty much over when he was dismissed in the ninth over with the score on 103.
Bird and Michael Parfett combined in a 91 run opening partnership with Parfett only getting five of those runs.
Casey Wallace with 18 not out and TJ Smith 10 not out saw the team home in the 13th over.
It was a very good victory, with one game to go against top of the table Reece Red Dragons.
A victory will almost certainly get the side into the semi finals.
