The Blayney Shire Youth Council may just have the answer with their Friday Nite Live games and trivia night on April 30.
The event will kickoff at the Abundant Life Church Hall in Adelaide Street near the video store at 6pm and will continue until 9:30pm.
Blayney Shire Council’s director of corporate services, Anton Franze, said that the games night gives Blayney’s youth aged 12 to 25 a chance to socialise in a safe environment.
“The event provides another activity for youth that they would not normally have,” Mr Franze said.
“Last year, the council held a movie night that was a very successful event.”
“This year it’s little different, creating a more active atmosphere.”
Youth Council secretary and communications officer, James Forster said no one will leave the trivia night empty handed.
“Prizes will be awarded to the winning team but there will also be lucky door prizes,” James said.
Tickets, which can be purchased for $2 from CentrePoint or the Blayney High School office, will include a sausage sizzle and drinks.
“No tickets will be sold at the door so numbers for the free barbeque are known,” James said.
“The hall also only has a capacity of 150 people so that’s why we need to know.”
There will be no pass-outs after entry and as with all Youth Week events it will be drug and alcohol free.
