Member for Bathurst Paul Toole met with local juniors, parents and officials recently to announce NSW Government funding of $59,000 for the improvements.
With a $1500 contribution from Blayney Shire Council, the $60,500 project will see the cricket training nets at the oval given a makeover similar to the new nets in Blayney at Dakers Oval.
"Redmond Oval really looks a picture with its white picket fence and parkland setting," Mr Toole said.

"It's just like a village green ground that you would find in the United Kingdom. The upgraded nets means that local teams will have first class facilities for their practice sessions."
The upgrades at Redmond Oval are set to be delivered under the latest wave of local NSW Government Stronger Country Communities projects rolling out to deliver new and upgraded facilities, infrastructure and programs that make a big difference to everyday life in the bush.
This includes the recent announcement of more than $132,000 for lights at King George Oval and $112,654 for a similar initiative at the Blayney netball courts.
