In the role of treasurer is Rohan Hoadley and secretary is Mel Hutchings.
The small but passionate group has big plans to promote the town.
"I really want to see Blayney go ahead but maintain that village atmosphere that it's always had since I grew up here," Mrs Ferguson said.
The town is undergoing significant growth at the moment and Mrs Ferguson is under no illusions as to the challenges and opportunities this growth brings.
One goal is to increase the membership base to better reflect the town.
"There has been a lot of volunteer fatigue in many organisations and there are only so many people to go around," she said. "I think that COVID has knocked everyone about."
One of the group's new activities will be ensuring the their work is clearly identified across the town, and through that grow the membership numbers.
"The BTA put in all the planter boxes in town and the silhouette bike racks in town and we really need to get out there and advertise and promote what the organisation actually does around town," she said.
In the short term the BTA is getting behind the upcoming Twilight Shopping night and a few other interesting ideas to spark some life into the town.
"In the small park opposite council and next to the takeaway shop we're going to put lights in the oak tree and also around at Goose park we're going to put up some signs about what to feed, and what not to feed, the geese and the ducks there," she said.
It's during the shopping event that the new BTA will introduce themselves to the people they represent.
"We'll have a stall set up where people can come and say hello and give their own feedback on what they'd like to see," she said.
Local stores will be keeping their doors open until 8pm on Thursday 9 December.
Also head up to Blayney Railway Station for a Platform's handmade market then make a night of it and head to one of our pubs or restaurants for dinner.
