Blayney shire is sitting at over 93 per cent having received their first dose and Health Service Manager at the Blayney Multipurpose Service Kathy Hillier is keen to see those number reach even higher with over 60's now able to access the Pfizer vaccine.
"There has been some reluctance because of the worries about AstraZeneca so hopefully after this clinic we'll see numbers hit the 100 per cent mark," she said.
Blayney mayor Scott Ferguson is encouraging high school students to roll up their sleeves and line up for their shots and emphasised the importance of young people bringing a parent or guardian and their Medicare card when they arrive at the walk-in clinic.
"We're encouraging them to turn up with their parents or guardians and take the opportunity to get their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine," he said.
"Also I encourage all those other people in the community who may have been too busy or couldn't travel to get their vaccinations to come to the community centre during the clinic opening time."
Member for Calare Andrew Gee said that the ADF clinics have turbo charged vaccination rates across the central west.
