The new case, taking the Blayney Local Government Area's total to six, is a confirmed household contact and was not infectious in the community at all.
Ahead of Saturday's bumper vaccination day at the DPIE building, Orange has no new cases, neither does Bathurst, but numbers across the Western NSW Local Health District took a slight upswing, up from 24 to 28 with the bulk of those in Dubbo.
There were 18 new cases in Dubbo, six in the Mid-Western Local Government Area and three in Bourke.
There are renewed calls for increased testing, too, with just 272 tests in Orange on Thursday, the same day another case was announced.
Across NSW, the state reported a record 1542 new locally acquired cases of COVID-19 on Friday and nine deaths.
Premier Gladys Berejiklian said she would stop delivering daily COVID-19 media briefings from next week, but NSW Health staff would post daily video updates.
Parts of regional NSW emerge from lockdown on Saturday and deputy premier John Barilaro said it was important those areas didn't act frivolously with their new-found freedoms.

The state has recorded 162 COVID-related deaths in NSW since June 16 and 218 in total since the start of the pandemic.
The number of COVID patients in hospital has reached 1156, including 207 in intensive care and 89 on ventilators.
The state has reached a first-dose vaccination rate of 76.4 per cent of those aged 16 and over.
The ratio of over-16s who have received both doses is 43.6 per cent.
