The Mayor and councillors of Blayney Shire and Cabonne have been advocating to the CBA about the lack of a transition plan with regards to the closure of the bank branches in Blayney and Molong last Friday 4 June.
IN OTHER NEWS:
CBA senior executives will be visiting Blayney and Molong next week to inspect firsthand the arrangements at the Post Office and meet with Councillors and bank customers to discuss the situation and the delivery of reasonable alternate banking services.
This meeting is being held at the Blayney Shire Community Centre next Wednesday 16 June from 1:30pm to 2.30pm.
The Mayor would welcome any one with a genuine story to contact him so that representation can be made in person.
"If there are individuals and businesses out there that are really upset about the closure, we want to know," he said.
"We'll be taking them to the post office to show them how it's going there and how the closure has impacted council's operations."
Call the Mayor Scott Ferguson on 0418 637 828 prior to the meeting, as there is limited time and space available.
