Mooney + Del Bene

Comics Lawrence Mooney and Al Del Bene are coming to Orange for a double header on May 7 and May 8 at Factory Espresso. It will be a show full of laughs at an intimate venue. Orange Show
This weekend
A signature event for the region for 149 years, the Orange Show will be held this Saturday from 9am to 9pm and Sunday from 9am to 4pm. Hoste dby Orange Show Society, the event showcases agricultural production around the region, promote businesses and provide competition and entertainment over the two-day program at the Orange Showground. The Orange Show is a lively exposition of rural life, the agricultural, horticultural and pastoral industries, a showcase for livestock, arts and craft and the best of the region.
Festival of bells

The first Festival of Bells will kick off on May 7 for three days of music from carillonists from across Australia. It will be centred on the War Memorial Carillon in Kings Parade, Bathurst. More than 200 performers (including carillonists) from schools, orchestras and bands. Entry is by ticket on from bathurstregion.com.au/festival-of-bells/. Free.
Heritage week
Road trip
The rich and varied history of the Bathurst area will be the focus of this week. The city is Australia's oldest inland European settlement - with 1000 heritage buildings - and has 40,000+ years of Wiradyuri heritage. Activities will include night stays at Abercrombie House and guided city walking tours. Celebrations will culminate in Proclamation Day celebrations by the river. May 1-9, Bathurst.
Blayney Rotary Markets

Held on the third Sunday of the month, Blayney Rotary Market features a range of stalls boasting seasonal fruit, vegetables, local produce, plants, flowers, jewellery, craft, accessories, candles, beauty products and more. The next markets will be held on Sunday, May 16 from 8.30am to noon at CentrePoint.
Mushroom hunt

The mushrooms are out and the hunt is on. Yum! You can try and spot them in the wild yourself (be careful you don't pick out something deadly) or take part in a tour that starts from Hampton. Come and join our friendly Craft, Cuppa and Chat Group. Bring your own projects to work on or join in sewing, knitting, crochet, embroidery, cross stitch, learn something new, or just come for the cuppa and a chat. The meetings will be held on the last Thursday of the month at the newly refurbished Millthorpe CWA Hall.

Are you a Pink Floyd fan? Then you'll be in your element at Australia's largest scale Pink Floyd concept act when it lands in town as part of a touring. The prog rock outfit has a lasting legacy that spans generations, with this show charting the 1960s to 1990s. The Bathurst Academy of Dance choir will make a guest appearance. Ensemble Offspring
Musical performance
Musical mavericks, Ensemble Offspring, will perform at the Orange Regional Conservatorium on May 30, bringing together some of the most innovative instrumentalists in Australia.
