Warm sunny days, loads of visitors keen on seeing the countryside and no COVID-19 restrictions means that unlike the 2020 competition, which was postponed until July, this one has everything going for it.

When the Blayney Chronicle shook off the relaxing vibes of the long weekend and ventured out into the backroads of the shire, it seems as though every other family was also out there, unloading the kids at the closest roadside stop for a quick picture before being loaded back in and onwards to the next.
With 15 different displays, ranging from farm art to grand hay bale sculptures, the range suits all tastes, although it does take a fair while to navigate the trail, and depending on what direction you're coming from, the signage is somewhat lacking and the parking options are limited.

The displays stretch from Forest Reefs and Errowanbang Road in the west to Kings Plains and Hobby's Yards in the east, with picturesque villages such as Carcoar and Millthorpe to explore as you go.
The winners will be announced on Tuesday April 6 and voting for the People's Choice will commence as soon as they're announced.
