Having good food is the secret of success for sports and social clubs like Club Millthorpe, the only remaining bowling club in Blayney shire.
Five years ago Kay Jamieson ran On The Green bistro at the club and it quickly earnt a reputation for good, affordable dining that was different to the usual offerings from neighbouring hotels.

With Ben Weston looking after the front of house Kay will be bringing back seasonal value-packed meals for locals and those visitors looking for true local produce.
"Keeping the cost down is all about smart cooking," she said.
"Things like lamb will only be on the menu when lamb is cheap, that's the best way to keep it cheap for us and the customer."
Creating classic dishes from seasonal gluts is what traditional cuisines such as French and Italian often use, and it's the thinking behind that and those that enjoy those foods which are the couple's target audience.
"There is a real gap in the market in Millthorpe between fine dining and pub meals,' she said. "This will be good, affordable dining using local producers."
On The Green bistro will be open 6-9pm Wed - Sat commencing March 3.
Club Millthorpe is situated at Elliott Street in Millthorpe.
