Looking for a sport for your kids to burn off some energy? How about rugby league. The Blayney Junior Rugby League plays ages 5-16 on Saturday and girls league ages 11-16 on Sunday. Registration fee is $100 including socks and shorts for new players, with sign-ups closing on March 9. Active Kids vouchers accepted. Register at https://profile.mysideline.com.au/register. The first training session will be on March 4 at 4.15pm. We will be holding our first training session for all ages on March 4 from 4.15pm at King George Oval. Children must be registered to attend. There will be a free sausage sizzle and drink after the session.

Sick of listening to the same music streaming list on repeat? Here's on your chance to get out and soak up the last of daylight savings sunshine with a relaxing afternoon of live music. Bring along a picnic and friends/family for the free event (COVID safe, of course). It kicks off on March 13 at Kurt Fearnley Park, Carcoar with Josh Maynard and Nerida Cuddy. On March 14 it's Dave Webb, Robbie Mortimer and the Young & Wild at the Dr Ross Memorial Recreation Ground (Hill Street entry), Molong. Fast forward to March 27 and Carrington Park, Blayney will be bopping to the sounds of Clancy Pye and The Hip Replacements while on March 28 the reserve next to the Corden Store, Cudal will host Momentum and Gabemusic.

This is one to put in the diary. Blayney Show has set March 6 as the date for the 2021 show (and there's a sign up to prove it). It should be a great day out. Entry to the 143rd annual event will cost $30 for a family, $10 for adults, school children $5 and concessions $5. Pre school aged children will be free.
Bathurst 500

There's a long list of events on and off track for the Bathurst 500, the first sprint round to be held on the mountain since 1996. Check out Picnic in the Parade featuring live music, markets and onstage gigs from Supercar drivers on Friday, at the National Motor Racing Museum spend some time tracking the history of motorsports and the Hot Wheels Stunt Team will be doing crazy tyre smoking drift demos. Cricket day
At home
Fancy a bit of 7-a-side cricket? This is the day to turn out to have a bash. There will be a bar and barbecue on site to round out the day. Pull together a team and get your nomination in by March 4 on the Blayney Bears Facebook page or with Adam Hornby on 0428022533. The draw will be completed on March 5 and you'll be hitting off on March 6. King George Oval, Blayney, $70 a team.
