Fancy a bit of 7-a-side cricket? This is the day to turn out to have a bash. There will be a bar and barbecue on site to round out the day. Fancy yourself a poet? Can you recite works in public? Love the works of poet Banjo Paterson? Then this festival is for you. It celebrates all things Banjo (he of Waltzing Matilda for those who might not be familiar with his work). There will be gigs, dinners, markets, barbecues and history in the making. Blayney Show
Plan Ahead
This is one to put in the diary. Blayney Show has set March 6 as the date for the 2021 show (and there's a sign up to prove it). It should be a great day out. Entry to the 143rd annual event will cost $30 for a family, $10 for adults, school children $5 and concessions $5. Pre school aged children will be free.

Talented local musicians are taking part in Local Emerging Artists Program [LEAP] gigs in the run up to Inland Sea of Sound. Here's your chance to catch potential stars of the future before they hit the big time. The Victoria will host a session on February 21 from 3.30pm to 6.30pm. Inland Sea of Sound

Australian acts Kate Ceberano, C.W. Stoneking, Mo'Ju, Hussy Hicks and Sub-Tribe will feature when the Inland Sea of Sound Festival kicks off. Central West acts Smith & Jones, Andy Nelson, The Safety of Life at Sea and The Mirandas are also on the list. This year the festival is largely indoors at the BMEC's Threatre, City hall and the Fossil and Mineral Museum carpark so it's an all-weather affair.
