Sam's Bar is at the Millthorpe Cellar Door on Pym Street.
"Sam's passing in August 2019 was felt by many in the region, including the Tamburlaine team who had been working with him previous to the opening of the Cellar Door," said Tamburlaine Millthorpe Cellar Door manager Phoenix Kamsteeg.
"Sam was the well-known and widely respected president of the Millthorpe Village Committee.
"He was very generous with his time and was actively involved with Rotary, Millfest, the Winter Fire Festival, the Millthorpe Men's group, and the Carcoar Yacht Club."
She said Mr Yeates was "instrumental in the development of Millthorpe's stone entrance walls" and was also involved in improvements to Redmond Oval and the re-opening of the railway station.
"We wanted to acknowledge and celebrate his exceptional contributions," said Ms Kamsteeg.
