That's the job description for the $2.9 million upgrade of the thoroughfare that is Carcoar Street.
Carcoar Street is being completely rebuilt thanks to the NSW State and Australian Government's commitment of $1,864,435 through the Fixing Local Roads Program, and last Friday Member for Bathurst Paul Toole was on hand to check on progress .
"Country roads are often riddled with potholes and require ongoing maintenance," he said.

"This funding will not only improve road safety for locals, but also for those travelling to and from the area."
Blayney Shire Council is funding the remainder of the rebuild with $1.1 million allocated in its 2020/21 Operational Plan.
Blayney mayor Scott Ferguson said that the project goes beyond a simple road reconstruction.
"This is why it's so expensive," he said."We're aligning footpaths, services and improving parking, and thanks to the NSW Government's support, we can do it all in one hit."
Director of Infrastructure Services Grant Baker said that Carcoar Street is on scheduled to reopen on December 21.
"We're completing the job a section at a time, with the current work being done by Christmas," he said.
"We'll return in January to when we will be closing down a different block of Carcoar Street."
