The North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos midfielder from Wynyard hurt her knee in a VFLW practice match earlier this month which brought a premature end to her AFLW campaign.
It came after a pre-season in which she had been floored by a virus.
Haines posted on Instagram following the surgery this week saying "knee reconstruction done, road to recovery starts now! thanks everyone for the messages!"
North Melbourne via its AFLW account shared the picture with this message directed to the 20-year-old North-West Coast product "All the best with your recovery Chloe!".
Haines, who was drafted from the Burnie Dockers, along with twin sister Libby, in the 2018 national draft, has played one AFLW game, at UTAS Stadium in round three last year against the Western Bulldogs.
The twins are two of nine Tasmanians at Arden Street.
The Haines twins spent last TSLW season at Launceston after Burnie withdrew from the competition the previous year.
