The club went public with their dismay on Sunday night and Vave then reemerged on Monday, calling the Bears to express his desire to appear with the club, but Taylor said the former Parramatta and Cronulla prop "won't be playing" in Blayney this season.
Taylor said the alarm bells began ringing when Vave's old club, St Mary's in Penrith, blocked the Bears request for a player clearance due to an undisclosed matter last season.
The Bears boss was also hopeful of having a sign-on bonus the club paid Vave returned before the season begins in April.
The club says it won't approve any potential requests for a transfer ahead of the season, and told the Central Western Daily the St Mary's club is in the same position.
"He came out to our presentation night and was charming as hell and we thought we'd hit the jackpot," Taylor said.
