We enjoyed an amazing smorgasbord, which featured a variety of the aged meats which Katherine has been working on for sometime.
2020 begins officially with our next meeting, which is the AGM. As such, election of committee members will be held and there will be no guest speaker.
Membership fees are also due and members are asked to place $55 in an envelope with their name on it.
The breakdown of money due is $20 yearly membership, $10 Learning for Life donation and $25 dinner fees for the evening.
The new venue for dinners this year is the Millthorpe Museum. The museum has beautiful new facilities for events such as meetings and dinners and has kindly offered this space to us free of charge.
This is a most generous offer as the facilities are new and ideal for what we require.
However it was decided at the committee meeting that there would be an opportunity for a gold coin (or note!) donation towards the use of the facilities.
And, the good news is that Katherine will continue to cater for us!
As it is not possible to buy drinks there, members need to BYO all drinks except water.
It's been a bit of an adventure over the years, spreading our dinners around the shire as much as possible, as we are officially the Blayney and District VIEW Cub!
We're hoping that we might see an increase in members from Millthorpe this year, with the dinners happening close to home!
February's dinner meeting will be on Tuesday, February 18 and just a reminder that if you are not planning to be at that dinner and you wish to avoid paying the dinner fee, you must let Ros know on (0412 291 054) before noon on Friday, February 14.
