Tributes have flowed in for the promising young sportsman following his death in a water skiing accident at Wyangla Dam.
Emergency services were called to the dam at about 9.15am on Wednesday as family members administered CPR.
He was taken to Cowra Hospital before being flown to Westmead Hospital in Sydney, but died about 2.30pm on Wednesday.
It doesn't matter who you speak to, they're shattered. No-one can comprehend what's happened.
- Orange Hawks president Mark Johnston
The teenager was a talented rugby league player, and also played cricket for Orange City.
A son for Tammy and Jason Greenhalgh and an older brother for Jack, the Greenhalghs have been left heartbroken by the sudden loss of Harry.
"We're shattered and overwhelmed by the support," Mrs Greenhalgh said.
Orange Hawks president Mark Johnston described Harry, a student at Canobolas Rural Technology High School, as a "much loved" figure around the club, and his death was "an absolute tragedy".
"His father is one of our oldest players and he [Harry] came along to all the training sessions, he'd have been at every game, home and away," Mr Johnston said.
"I'd say he was known by 100 per cent of the players at the club, he was a former ball boy and was much loved by everyone you'd meet.
"He was very friendly ... he had this knack of growing on you."
Mr Johnston said everyone at the Orange Hawks and around the city were "shattered".
"It doesn't matter who you speak to ... no-one can comprehend what's happened," he said.
He said he'd known the Greenhalgh family for some time and couldn't speak highly enough of them.
"They've done so much for Orange ... it's an absolute tragedy," he said.
Orange Hawks posted a tribute on its Facebook page on Wednesday night to Harry, offering the club's "deepest condolences and sympathies" to the Greenhalgh family.
Other tributes from the Group 10 Junior Rugby League board and the Orange District Junior Cricket Association followed.
Orange City Cricket Club also posted a tribute, saying it was with a "saddened heart" the club had heard the news.
"Our thoughts and prayers go out to Tammy, Jason, Jack and their extended family," the post read.
"From all the Warriors Family our deepest condolences."
