Low to severe intensity heatwave conditions are predicted across much of the region on Wednesday and Thursday.
Weatherzone data shows Thursday will be the hottest day, with Forbes the hottest location with a predicted maximum temperature of 41 degrees.

Other locations, including: Cootamundra, Cowra, Dubbo, Parkes, Wellington and Young, are expected to soar to 40 degrees.
It will also be very hot 39 degrees in Nyngan with a top of 38 predicted in Mudgee.

- Bathurst - 33 degrees, 36 degrees, 33 degrees
- Cootamundra - 36, 40, 36
- Cowra - 37, 40, 37

- Lithgow - 28, 33, 31
- Mudgee - 35, 38, 36
- Nyngan - 38, 39, 36
- Oberon - 33, 37, 33
- Orange - 31, 33, 31
- Parkes - 37, 40, 37
- Wellington - 38, 40, 35
- Young - 36, 40, 36
Meanwhile, a very high fire danger rating is in place on Wednesday for the following council areas: Bathurst, Blayney, Cabonne, Cowra, Lithgow, Mid-Western, Oberon and Orange.
A high fire danger rating is in place for: Cootamundra-Gundgai, Hilltops, and Goulburn-Mulwaree councils.
A low-moderate fire danger rating is in place for these councils areas: Bland, Forbes, Lachlan, Narromine, Parkes, Temora, Weddin and Dubbo
