Members of the BHS support class were invited to design and paint a series of paintings on the ground around the planter boxes that were donated by Bunnings in Orange.
Activity officer at the hostel Karen Webster said that the students were inspired by the designs of 90 year-old Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama.
"The students completed the paintings during third term and they've done a wonderful job brightening up this area," she said.
The paint was donated by Quality Building Supplies and now the hostel is looking to expand the garden area with more planting boxes and garden furniture.
