A FINAL flurry of winter snowfall is predicted for high areas in the Central Tablelands on Monday.

The Bureau of Meteorology's (BoM) MetEye website shows snow is predicted around Lithgow, Jenolan Caves, Orange, Katoomba and Crookwell.
Widespread snowfall was expected at 7am on Monday, with heavier falls at 10am.

The snow is predicted to stay around until 1pm.
Meanwhile, for the spring ahead, the BoM's senior hydrologist Dr Paul Feikema said drier than average conditions are likely with a 70 to 80 per cent chance of below average rainfall in the Central West.
"Days are likely to be warmer than average," he said.
In the Central West, there is an 80 per cent chance of above average temperatures.
