We have really been focusing on passing the ball and working as a team to take it up the field and that really showed in our game today.
Riley, Charlie and Jaxson showed great footwork with Jaxson and Charlie taking it all the way to the goal.
Maddi and Cody worked well together in both attack and defence with Cody's skills earning him player of the week.
We are so proud of all of you, well done.
Under 7s
Jaguars versus Millthorpe Growl at Redmond oval played last Saturday.
With low numbers due to illness, we saw the addition of Amber who was a great sport and blocked the growls attempts at goals on a few occasions with some solid kicks, thanks, Amber.
Asher ran around the field from back to front and back again, he scored a flurry of goals also defending many goals.
Charlie had a great game offering support, she kicked some well-placed passes and was on her toes the whole game.
Georgia ran around the centers, going to the ball, she put her body on the line twice with the ball hitting her body, the second one must have really hurt.
Jack kicked off the game strongly, he positioned himself well near the goals and defended them.
He stopped a certain Growls goal in its tracks and on other occasions swept in, kicking the ball away from the goals he also copped a knock to the head from the ball twice but continued playing.
For Jack's skill qualities and his grit, Jack earned the player of the week medal.
Thanks to the growls players for being such good sports.

Under 9s
Blayney under 9s Spirits played OAGS Sprites on Saturday at Jack Brabham oval in a cracker of a game.
The sun was out and jumpers came off.
We lost 2-1, but gee the Spirits played well and the big bonus was, Chevy was back after his long stint off with a broken collar bone.
Archer was out with tonsillitis so our ring in was Andre's little brother Hayden, who was outstanding.
1st half Casey was in goals with Georgie and Lilly up the back, Karter and Chevy in Mid and Hamish and Andre up front.
Sprites kicked off and from that first kick they were in attack for most of the first half.
Casey put his body on the line to save heaps of goals and the defence from all of the team was astounding and it kept Blayney on their toes.
Sprites got a awesome goal from a great kick and not long after that Blayney accidentally kicked them a goal which made them a little deflated, but they never gave up.
Hamish and Andre were absolutely fantastic getting the ball and trying to get around the Sprites players.
Karter, who has totally come into his own, played an incredible game.
Chevy who hasn't played for about two months just slipped right back in, until he had to go off feeling sick, so Hayden came on like a tiny little trooper.
Lilly and Georgie were so awesome and were kept so busy up the back that I'm convinced that if they weren't up the back protecting the goals the score would've been lot bigger.
The second half Karter volunteered to be in goals and wow, he was phenomenal.
He put his body on the line, time and time again and did not get phased at all by the barrage of kicks at goal by the Sprites.
Hamish and Casey were up the back, Andre and his little brother Hayden was in mid and our A team Georgie and Lilly were up front.
Blayney kicked off and it started just like the first half with Sprites dominating and as hard as Blayney tried they couldn't get that elusive goal.
That was until I told Andre I needed him in top gear and top gear he went and scored a awesome goal from just passed the half way line and that was just what Blayney needed.
Hayden had to go to his own game so Casey went into mid and Chevy came back on in the back, even though he was still sick.
Blayney defended with all their might to keep the Sprites scoreless in the second half and that was no mean feat.
So proud of my little team, they worked so well together, I could write ten pages about how great each player is. Thanks again to Hayden for stepping up again for us.
Congratulations to Chevy for getting player of the week, we are so happy you are back playing with us.
Under 9 Pumas on a fabulous sunny morning the Pumas played a great game against the Jets at Waratah.
Communication and teamwork were very strong today.
The first half saw Oscar save many opposing goals while Marnie was fabulous in attack and Angus stayed on the ball passing well and avoiding tackles.
The second half saw Evie in goal saving many great attempts from the other team.
Odin and Oscar had multiple attempts at goal and even got a couple through. Both had some great runs down the side as well.
Player of the week was awarded to Courtney who played a fabulous game all round; tackling, defending, passing, intercepting and communicating the whole time.
Not even a few stray balls could stop her! Congratulations Courtney.
