Regis Resources CEO Jim Beyer said in a statement that it marks another significant milestone in the McPhillamy's assessment process.

"Importantly, our consultation with neighbours, local landowners and other stakeholders will continue throughout the assessment process, including more community Open Days to coincide with the formal exhibition period for the EIS," he said.

Mr Beyer said the open days would be held around the middle of the six-week EIS exhibition period.

"Once the government advises us of the timing for the exhibition period, we will lock in dates for Open Days with project staff and independent technical advisers who prepared the studies for the EIS," he said.

"This will give neighbours and other interested parties another opportunity to provide feedback and ask detailed questions about the EIS and the project."

One group that is keen to see the final EIS and participate in the discussions is the Belubula Headwaters Protection Group whose President Dan Sutton is now expecting answers to the difficult questions.

"Regis have answered a lot of the more basic questions, however the major ones, pertaining to water and noise, remain unanswered," he said.

"Now that the DA has been submitted they can't avoid answering our questions, they have all the information they needed to submit the DA. They have nowhere to hide."

The final Community Consultative Committee meeting before the EIS is released is to be held on Monday July 22 at 6pm.

The CCC is not an open forum and all questions must be placed through a committee member such as Mr Sutton.

"Hopefully we will know what the make-up of the water that's coming from the dam at Springvale Mine near Lithgow will be," he said.

"No one yet has been willing to answer the question as to what the salinity of the water will be that comes in this pipeline."

Mr Sutton is also waiting on answers regarding the noise from the mine.

"The noise consultants are making assumptions based on where Regis have told them they're placing their equipment and the suppression equipment on it," he said.
