They have spoken heavily on perfecting the basics after their loss to the Lithgow Workies, and for the Mudgee Dragons, it might just be the key to their recent stint of success.

It didn't take long for the side to kick into action at Glen Willow Stadium on Sunday against the Blayney Bears with Jared Robinson scoring the first four points of the match two minutes after kick-off.
Penalties awarded in favour of the visitors within the first 20 acted as the spark to the fire from the Dragons breath that soon led to eight separate players lighting up the scoreboard.
Robinson, who scored three for the red and white outfit, says defence was undoubtedly the difference between winning and losing the round 12 clash.
"It was a good game, we're pretty happy with the 68 points, but the main thing we spoke about was trying to keep them at nil and really work on our defence and I think we did that," he said.
"We've been really focused on worrying about ourselves and doing the small things right for the last couple of weeks, and I think it's really paying off for us."
Up against the Orange Hawks and Bathurst Panthers, the top two on the ladder, for the next two rounds, Robinson says it'll be a much needed test.
"We're pretty confident coming off the back of that," he said.
"But we've got a tough couple of weeks coming up against the top two sides so that'll really show us where we are at."
The Mudgee Dragons will do battle with the Orange Hawks on July 7 at Wade Park.
