As police identified themselves, the man allegedly armed himself with a golf club.
The 39-year-old man was restrained and arrested. The officers were not injured.

The man was taken to Bathurst Police Station where he was charged with wilfully damage or deface any protected place, destroy or damage property, use offensive weapon to prevent lawful detention, supply prohibited drug, and possess prohibited drug.
