The region was teased by forecasts of snow at the start of May and with almost a week to wait, plenty will be keeping a close eye on the daily forecasts.
Currently, though, the Bureau of Meteorology's MetEye website suggests snow could start falling east of the town, around Oberon, around 4pm next Wednesday.

The falls are forecast to be more widespread by 7pm with possible falls on high ground near Yetholme and also Orange's Mount Canobolas.
However, by 10pm MetEye shows the snow will have cleared right across the Central Tablelands.
While no snow is expected in Blayney itself, the bureau is forecasting some wintry weather next Tuesday and Wednesday with overnight minimums around zero degrees and maximums of just 12-13 in Bathurst.
