One of Blayney's most promising young netballers has shone on the court to help guide her side to its best showing in over a decade while competing against some of the best young netball stars in the state.

Taylor Hobby was selected in the NSW Combined High School Sport Association's Western side, which finished equal fifth out of the 11 regions across NSW which travelled to Sydney for the tournament.
The event ran from May 6-8 in Sydney, with Hobby selected out of the Blayney High School side which went to Orange earlier this year.
It was her debut at CHS level, and walked into the side without knowing any of her teammates-to-be.

However, under the tutelage and guidance of Orange's Tegan Dray, the side achieved it's best result in over a decade.
Hobby said she enjoyed the change to shine at a higher level.
"It was a lot quicker than what I'm used to, but I picked a lot up," she said.
The defender, who plays either goal keeper or goal defence, said the tournament was great experience, with her teammates and Dray "really supportive".
"I learnt lots of stuff which I can hopefully bring back to Blayney," she said.
The year 10 student at Blayney High School is hoping she'll be able to make the side again next year and continue her development on the court.
