Member for Calare Andrew Gee and Nationals senator Bridget McKenzie stopped into the museum to announce that the museum was receiving over $8,000 in Stronger Country Communities funding for fencing, air conditioning and other work around the centre.
They were also impressed by the work underway within the new pavilion that is to become a new interactive display area complete with a working telephone exchange.
"Visitors will be able to call places within the museum from the exchange once it's all set up," said volunteer Rosemarie Amos.
