The $13,000 grant will be used to install ‘Option One’, which includes: Leg lift apparatus, Ab bench, Arm trainer, Plyometric Steps, and Stretch Station. Thanks again for all the input.

Construction has started on the new perimeter fence at Redmond Oval. Blayney Shire Council and Millthorpe Village Committee have worked on the design for some time and the fence will be sympathetic to the other heritage fences along the Park Street precinct.

Orange Museum has agreed to loan its Cobb & Co Stagecoach to the Golden Memories Museum for the generous period of one year.

We look forward to its arrival as it is a piece of great historical importance.

It also fits the unofficial theme of Millthorpe’s public transport, with trains soon to stop on request again at the 1886 Railway station, closed for the past thirty-four years.

Detailed planning for the re-opening of the Millthorpe Railway Station on Friday 15 March is underway.

The ceremony will commence at approximately 11:45 with the arrival of the Official Party on the scheduled XPT service. Millthorpe Public School Student Leaders will join the official party at Blayney and travel to Millthorpe.

The MPS choir will entertain guests and a plaque will be unveiled. All local residents are invited to attend.

The Lachlan Valley Railway train is due into the station around that time, to be confirmed, and interested residents are invited to travel on the train to Blayney and return.
