In 2019 the festivities will kick off at 8.30am with a host of attractions throughout the day.
This year the fair promises to be bigger and better with loads of activities, games and live entertainment.
A highlight will be the re-enactments performed by the Gold Trails Re-enactment Group, featuring actors performing events that occurred in Carcoar and surrounds, and being made particularly realistic by the use of multiple riders on horseback.
Additionally there will be live music featuring November Shorn, Cobb and Co carriage rides, vintage cars, Penny Farthings, amusements and entertainment for the kids including the wonderful Murphy’s Puppets and much more.
New attractions are still being added to the line-up so check out the latest on Facebook or browse the website www.carcoarvillage.com
The admission price for the fair has stayed flat for well over a decade but as the fair continues to grow so do the costs.
As such the entry cost is now $5 per adult with kids under 12 still free.
We think you will agree that this represents outstanding bang for you buck with so much on offer.
In recognition of Carcoar's significance as the third oldest settlement west of the Blue Mountains, all five of Carcoar's museums will be open, including the Carcoar Hospital Museum (12pm to 2pm), Court House Museum, Carmanhurst Military Museum, Stoke Stable Museum and The 20th Century Toy Museum.
Thanks to the generous support of Hansen Optometrists villagers and visitors will also have the opportunity to look resplendent in the beautiful period costume created by Margaret Thornhill.
Costumes are limited so first in best dressed. There will be a variety of food available along with cold drinks and of course the river to dip in to keep yourself refreshed.
Organisers are looking for volunteers to help out on the day so if you can spare an hour or two or would like to contribute in some other way then please contact Allan on 0414 350 899 or Eric on 0427 166 273.
