A report by police says the fuel theft occurred earlier this week at a roadwork site near the Cowriga Creek Bridge.
“Between 4pm Tuesday October 16 and 5am Wednesday October 17, 2018 a lock was forced on the fuel tank of a Caterpillar grader parked at a roadwork site near Cowriga Creek bridge at Browns Creek,” NSW Police state rural crime co-ordinator Detective Inspector Cameron Whiteside said.
“About 100 litres of diesel fuel was siphoned from the fuel tank.
“Experience tells us that there may be more thefts in the area, so please do the best you can to prevent yourself from being the next victim.”
Detective Inspector Whiteside has called on anyone with any information about this crime to contact your local police station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
