As the first female retained firefighter in Blayney, Casey Dixon has been working hard keeping herself fit.
Jogging three to five kilometres, five or so times a week, Casey feels that she’s well up there in the fitness stakes.
That fitness will be put to the test when she joins fellow firefighter Adam Hamilton in the Fire Fighters Climb for Motor Neurone Disease.

The pair will climb the 98 storeys, or 1504 stairs of the Sydney Tower Eye wearing full structural ensemble and air sets that carry a combined weight of 20kgs.
And it’s not something that she really wants to think too much about.
“Ignorance is bliss,” she laughed.
“I’ve run around Mt Panorama a few times, but I don’t think that that even compares.’
The pair are organising a triple’s bowls tournament at the Blayney Bowling club on September 15 and are asking for help in any form.
