The Blayney Red Cross held their AGM on Monday August 13 during which each of the members were presented with an interesting book as a gift.

A reprinted version of the Dubbo Red Cross Cookbook from 1946 was given to each of the Blayney members and it was soon discovered that between all the members there at the meeting, collectively they had over 200 years of service between them, with June James from Millthorpe receiving a presentation for 30 years of service.
Tatts drought fundraiser night
Mark Saturday September 1 on your calendars trivia fans because that’s the night when the Tattersall’s Hotel will be running their Fundraising for the Farmers night.
A table will cost only $30 for 6 people and there will be platters available on the night.
Prizes have all been donated by local businesses and include a free car servicing, a $400 family photography package, Sony soundbar and sub-woofer, gift baskets and loads of vouchers.
There will also be an auction on the night.
All the proceeds from the night are going to the Burrumbuttock Hay Runners for their next run in January.

Carcoar Show – October 27
The Carcoar Show is a cracker of a country show and is well deserved of its title as the ‘Best Little Show in the Country.’
All the classic events will be there such as the pavilion entries, shearing as well as the popular horse events.
For the young, Jump Inflatables will be at the show and there will be plenty to eat on the day from the show society BBQ to stands from local providers.
CARS AND COFFEE – September 2
For Father’s Day the Coffee and Cars day is on again.
Once more the corner of Ogilvy and Adelaide Streets will be the focus of the action with cars, bikes and trucks of any description coming along for the morning. 9.30am - noon.
