It will mark the beginning of their HSC journey, and for the school the three girls are first dance students to have ever taken the exam at BHS.
Dance teacher Jayne Evans said that the students had been studying dance as part of their stage six curriculum and as part of that they have to complete a performance exam.
“They have to present a work that they have choreographed that another student performs for them, and then they choose a major study, either another performance exam, or choreograph another work for two to three people,” she said.
NAIDOC DAY ACTIVITIES
Johnny cakes were on the menu at BHS last week as students tried their hands at a some bush cooking as well as some Aboriginal games that have been modified using western sporting equipment such as tennis balls and bats.
The students also spoke with Nyree Reynolds in the newly built meeting place.
