Centre director Emma Harrison-Smith said that the bottles will be returned to the 'Return and Earn' station on behalf of the children, and anyone can drop bottles off to help out.
“The children have been involved in deciding how these funds will be located in the outdoor area and have been creating their own designs,” she said.
Mrs Harrison-Smith added that the aim of the scheme is for the children to develop respect for their environment, as well as a sense of ownership and belonging to the outdoor environment.
“The children are looking at a new outdoor setting as well as some plants and gardening materials,” she said.
