It could well be the two teams appearing at this year’s New Holland Cup final, but Blayney was unfortunately left scoreless throughout much of Saturday’s game at King George Oval.

The Rams started well enough, with Jeremy Kable darting through the Narromine defence to notch up the first of only two tries for the Rams during the match.
Converted by Casey Wallace the seven points on the scoreboard remained motionless until the second half, when co-coach Cameron Cole notched up a try to bring the Rams total for the match up to 12.
The unstoppable Gorilla’s though seem to have this year’s title in the bag and Cole admits that his side is starting to show a fair bit of wear and tear as the season comes to an end.
“We played alright for about 30 minutes and then a few things didn’t go our way and we just started to drop off,” he said.
“Narromine just took advantage of that and scored a lot of points very quickly which put us on the back foot and we had to try and chase, try to make up the points.”
Narromine are well ahead on the ladder with 63 points followed by Parkes on 42.
To get into the top four, the Rams will need to win against both Mudgee in Mudgee this Saturday and against Parkes here at home on July 28.
“They’ll be a test for us again this year as all the matches have been,” Cole said.
