Co-coach Kristy Bartley said that the side came 13th out of a total of 18 teams, which was a fantastic outcome for such a young and relatively inexperienced team.
“We’re all really proud of how they went as the weekend was really overwhelming,” she said.
The team won five of their matches, drew one and lost 11, and Bartley said that their last day was their best.
“We really could see them improve as the weekend progressed and on Monday they won the most games,” she said.
The winners of the championship were Macleay with Kiama and Cowra coming in second and third respectively.
For Bartley, the challenge now is to keep the momentum going.
“They’re going to be so good I want to sign them up so they can’t go playing with anyone else,’ she said.
