With ladies day going on up in the confines and warmth of the commentary box the games down on KGO were of top quality.
Second grade got under way and with the rams showing a lot of heart went into the halftime break trailing 10-5 with James Standbridge scoring for Blayney.
The second half was a lot of the same with the game going from one end to another Mick Heycox scored and converted his own try, Tino Seana also scored a forwards try with Bryce Sutton converting with the Rams coming away with the win 19-16.
M Heycox,D McKennze and J Standbridge got the best and fairest points.
First grade kicked off with a hectic pace with the Wombats scoring first the Rams bounced back with Cam Cole scoring a try.
Mudgee scored 2 more tries in the first half to lead 21-5 at the break.
With possession being shared both sides where attacking hard to try to get the advantage.
Blayney got the next 3 tries Cameron Cole got another, John Wills and Sam Nixon scoring to lead 24-21, but with a couple of minutes to go Mudgee got their forwards going and scored in the corner coming away with the win 26-24.
The best and fairest points went to Zac Taylor, Sam Nixon and Ryan Simmons.
