To celebrate the enduring charm and warmth of a knitted bonnet, the search is on for Blayney’s best beanie.
As part of the Winter Wonderland competition Blayney shire council will be hosting a photo competition on Facebook to discover just who has the best Blayney beanie.
Be it handmade, shop bought or a highly accessorised commercial beanie, the search for the best head warmer is on, and business is getting behind the competition as well, with a large number of businesses donating prizes for the best beanies around.
Council’s Community Development and Tourism Project Officer, Mel Monico said that the popular Blayney Beanie will also be making a welcome return.
“Look out for a new range of limited edition colours that will be available as a fundraiser at local Winter Wonderland community events and at the Blayney Shire Visitor Information Centre,” she said.
